Trainers: we store the details you submit to run your listing, plus proof of insurance and qualifications, seen only by our approver.

Liability disclaimer

The FASTER Trainer Register is an information directory operated by FASTER Health and Fitness. We list trainers who qualified through FASTER and publish factual information about their qualifications, insurance and first aid as supplied and checked at the point of listing.

FASTER is not a party to any agreement between a member of the public and a trainer. We do not provide, supervise, broker or guarantee personal training services. We make no warranty about the suitability, safety or outcome of any service a trainer delivers. Verification dates we publish reflect what was checked at a point in time and are not a guarantee of current cover. You are responsible for confirming a trainer's current insurance, qualifications and suitability before engaging them, and any contract is strictly between you and the trainer. To the fullest extent permitted by law, FASTER accepts no liability for the acts, omissions or services of listed trainers.

Who we are

FASTER Health and Fitness is the data controller for this register. Contact: privacy@fasterfunction.com. We are established 2006 and based in the UK.

What we collect and why

From the public

Lead events: when you accept the disclaimer and unlock a trainer's contact details, we record the trainer, the page and a timestamp. Lawful basis: legitimate interest.
Enquiry forms (where used): name, postcode, email, phone and your message, passed to the chosen trainer. Lawful basis: consent.

From trainers

Identity and contact details, location, specialities, bio, links, profile photo.
Proof of insurance, first aid and qualifications, and their expiry dates. Proof documents are visible only to the FASTER approver and are never published.
Lawful basis: contract and legitimate interest.

Data minimisation

We ask for the least we need. The public can browse and assess trainers without giving us anything. We only record a lead event at the point you choose to unlock contact details, and we never capture the conversation that follows.

How we store and protect it

The whole site runs over HTTPS with SSL on the subdomain.
Data is stored in encrypted databases hosted in the UK or EU.
Admin and approval dashboards sit behind authentication and access control, with hashed passwords.
Uploads are limited by type and size; proof documents are access-restricted.
The public lead form is protected against spam and bots.
Regular encrypted backups are taken.

How long we keep it

Trainer listing data is kept while the listing is active and for a short period after removal. Lead event logs are kept for up to 24 months, then deleted or anonymised. Proof documents are kept only as long as needed to verify a listing.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018 you have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict or object to our use of your data, and to data portability. You can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.

Delete my data

Ask us to delete your data and we will action it within the statutory period. Trainers can also remove their own listing at any time, and FASTER can remove any listing.

Cookies

The site uses only what is strictly necessary plus, with your consent, basic analytics.
